Product Details
Utahraptor was an enormous dromaeosaur, closely related to the smaller Velociraptor, and its discovery happened in 1993. Interestingly, that’s the same year "Jurassic Park" hit theaters, showcasing Velociraptors much bigger than their actual fossil evidence suggests—making Utahraptor a real-life raptor closer in size to its Hollywood counterparts.
- Scientific Name: Utahraptor ostrommaysi (“Utah’s Thief”. Its species name refers to John Ostrom, a scientist who worked on Deinonychus and theorized a close relationship between dinosaurs and birds.)
- Characteristics: This Utahraptor figure looks ready to strike! With its jaws open wide and feathered arms outstretched, any nearby dinosaurs should stay on alert. Its realistic feathered body features a blue upper side, a light brown underside, and bold black and white markings decorating its head.
